Senior Agentic Engineer
Full lifecycle · client-facing · one accountable owner
Apply for this role →The Role
Senior Agentic Engineers own client systems from brief to production. You will translate an ambiguous business problem into a scoped architecture, direct AI coding agents through implementation, review the output with senior judgment, and stay accountable after launch.
This is not a staff-augmentation role. You are the technical owner for an engagement, with agent fleets providing leverage underneath you.
What You Will Do
- Run technical discovery with founders, operators, and product leaders.
- Turn loose business requirements into a buildable delivery plan.
- Design full-stack architectures for production systems.
- Use AI coding agents for implementation, tests, refactors, documentation, and migration work.
- Review agent output carefully before it reaches a client or production system.
- Ship early production versions in weeks, then iterate on short change cycles.
- Own quality: tests, security posture, observability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Push back when the requested feature is not the right solution.
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong production judgment across frontend, backend, data, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience owning systems after launch, not just handing them off.
- Comfort working directly with clients and explaining tradeoffs clearly.
- Serious hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Aider, Codex, or similar.
- A habit of reading diffs, writing tests, and treating speed as a quality multiplier.
Success Looks Like
Clients trust you because you make the work clearer, faster, and safer. Systems you ship are understandable, observable, and maintainable. Agentic leverage makes you faster, but your engineering judgment remains the reason the work holds up.
